First Lutheran School Student Services
Students don’t always learn at the same pace, and it isn’t uncommon for a student to fall behind or struggle at some point in their academic career. First Lutheran School cares about the well-being of every student and provides access to several services—including tutoring, mentoring, and counseling services—to help each student achieve to his or her highest potential.
Tutoring
Supervising Teacher: Mrs. Megan Sibley
Location: 4th grade room
During the school year, tutoring is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 when school is open. Students who attend after school tutoring need not sign up. They may use after-school tutoring on an "as needed" basis. The tutoring hour is a quiet time to read, work on school assignments, or receive extra instruction. Students who attend tutoring MUST bring something to work on. Phones are not permitted during the tutoring hour. Laptops/Chromebooks will only be used for school instruction.
Mentoring and Counseling

Principal Birnbaum and Assistant Principal Harbeson are also available to help students and parents who have questions and/or concerns. First Lutheran School Pastor Joe Highley is yet another option if you are needing to talk.
